Chapter 1

Leon’s POV~Baja, Mexico

Letty and I watched Dom in the kitchen, leaning on either side of the door in the little town house we rented, as he hung up the phone with a slight smile on his face. That was saying a lot considering he doesn’t smile…except when he’s with Letty, since the truck heist.

Dom turned to see Letty and I staring at him, Letty cocked her head to the side and asked sarcastically, “Whatchu smilin’ about.” Dom look at her for a minute and shook his head, “I’ll tell you’ll in a bit,” Letty glanced at me and smirked. “ Oh, really Mr. Toretto,” Dom rolled his eyes, walking towards Letty and I. Dom pulled Letty to him and hug her softly ((I guess trying not to hurt her)) “Yeah, really Ms. Rodriguez,” Letty laughed. They started getting all lovey dovey and @#%$, I couldn’t help but tease them. “Get a room…you’ll know that’s hazardous to my health!” I said seriously. Letty smiled at Dom, “Well in that case…”she started kissing Dom more passionately. “Awww…@#%$ you,” we all laughed. ((It felt good to laugh))

“Hey Leon, go tell Jesse and Vince that we’re having a team meeting in 5,” Dom held up his hand to emphasize on the time. “A’ight brotha,” I replied, but I doubt he heard me, he was to busy groping Letty. I walked in the den and saw Vince watchin’ some Movie on TV. I rushed past him, so not to interrupt, and went to the bottom of the stairs. “Jesse!” “Yeah?” Jesse answered. “Get downstairs we got a team meeting in 5,” I held up my hand like Dom did, mocking him.

I went over to the couch, sat down next to Vince. He turned to look at me then asked, “What’s up?” nodding his head towards the kitchen door. I followed his gaze, then turned back to the TV screen “I don’t know brotha.” Vince sighed and started watching the movie again.

Letty’s POV

After Leon left I pulled slightly out of Dom’s embrace. Dom just stood there looking at me, it felt like the world had come to a halt; nothing else mattered, not the heist, not team and all their bullshit…nothing. Very slowly, I placed each of my hands on either side of his face; looked deep into his eyes, as if to cherish the site of him. “God only knows how much I love you Dominic,” I sighed and he smiled. “I love you too baby,” I pulled Dom in for a quick kiss. When I tried to lean back Dom stopped me; he grabbed the nape of my neck then started to massage it. He then lured me in for a passionate, soul-quivering kiss.

I was sitting on the couch, Indian style, in shock from what Dom told us…New York!?! I had to admit, I was excited about seeing Connie, I haven’t seen her since the Toretto’s last family reunion. I chuckled to myself softly, thinking back on how Leon had this huge crush on Connie. I looked over at Leon, who was sitting on the floor near the TV-starin’ into space; seriously into his thoughts- I’m surprised he didn’t piss in his pants with excitement, like a dog, when he found out…I pictured he’d be happier. Connie was twenty at the time, I thi- “Letty?” I turned my head to see who had interrupted my current train of thought. Dom was knelt down in front of me. I raised an eyebrow to let him know that I hear him, “Can I talk to you for a minute baby?” he whispered. I untucked my legs from under me, and slide off the couch, we made our way upstairs.

Once we made the short journey to our room; Dom shut the door, guided me to the bed, and gently pushed me down to sit. I frowned, “Dom, What’s the matter?” he took a deep breath and look around the room. “Letty, do you think I’m making the right decision about us moving to NY? I mean” “Dom!” I practically yelled, cutting him off. “Dom…” I started with my voice warmer. “…Baby, everything’s gonna be fine. The truck heist wasn’t your fault. You didn’t put a gun to our head and make us do it. We made our own decisions… and weather we like it or not, we have to live with them. I know you have the teams best interest at heart.” I watched, as the uncertainty Dom had drained from is face. I was happy he believed me, but I’m getting the strange feeling that I’m trying to convince myself, of that, as well as Dom.

There was just something unsettling about going to NY…like the same feeling I had before the truck heist, and that scared me more than anything. Then again, maybe I’m just nervous ‘bout the change, but I can’t have Dom feeling unsure. He’s the one I’m suppose to lean on he’s my shoulder, my rock, my all! “Baby let’s get some sleep.” We feel asleep spooned together.

Leon’s POV

I was thinking ‘bout seeing Connie again, after a year…I tried so hard to get over her and for a minute there I thought I succeeded. But once Dom mentioned staying with Connie in NY, all the feelings came flooding back. I had heard Letty chuckling, but chose to ignore her ‘cause I knew what she was thinking ‘bout. Letty teased me every chance she got about being Connie’s ‘Plastic Boy Toy’ Sometimes she’d get a rise out of me, but at times I ignored her…mostly, because it was true.

After a few Jesse said good night, so I decided to go get some sleep too. “Yo, V…I’m out for the night brotha,” I said as I walked up the stairs. Vince yelled, “Night dawg!” I went to sleep thinkin’ about Connie and New York, but mostly ‘bout Connie.
