Heres another one! Pretty long, sorry about that. It gets harder when you gotta follow the movie man! Enjoy guys!

Ehh! Ehh! Ehh!
"Son of a bitch." I muttered. I rolled over and slapped the alarm clock. It flipped off the table, and crashed to the floor. "Thats what I thought!"
I sat up, and rubbed my tired eyes. @#%$ it man. I didnt want to go to work.
"Better get going." Dom said from his side of the bed. I turned to him.
"What about yourself?" I said laughing a little. He was not skipping out of work again "Its almost nine, we got a @#%$ load of work to do at the garage today." I climbed out of bed and started for the bathroom.
"I dont have to be at the store for a while, I get to sleep in." He smiled at me, that cocky I'm right and you're wrong grin.
Ticked at his attitude, I picked up the closest object to me, a shoe. I lobbed it at him.
"You know Dominic..." I threatened. He sat up fast.
"What the @#%$ was that for." He shouted. I was breathing hard. This was not how I planned to start my day.
"You know what, forget it." I muttered. I opened the door and went out into the hallway. "Its not worth it."
"Letty dont start with me." He called from the bedroom. "Youve been acting like this all week." I rolled my eyes, and snorted.
"Yeah only because Mia's too afraid to!" I shouted.
I went into the bathroom and slammed the door behind me. I reached back and locked the door, probably one of the first times I locked Dom out of the bathroom. I started the shower, letting the scalding water fog up the tiny room.
"What the @#%$ does that mean?" His voice was muffled as it fought to reach me through the wood grain. I didnt answer. "Letty!" His fist pounded on the door. He tried the doorknob, and hit the door one final time when he realized it was locked.
I didnt bother taking a long shower; I was the one who had to leave not Dom. Besides, he would just sit there and wait for me no matter how long I took, and judging the size of the tiny window in the bathroom, there was no way in hell I was shimmying down the gutters.
When I finished I threw a towel on my head, and twisted my hair up in a turban. I wrapped another plush towel around my body, and yanked the door open. Sure enough there was Dom on his ass in the hallway, leaning against the wall. He jumped up when the door flung open.
"Dont start @#%$ you arent going to finish girl." He warned. "You know it only gets us into bigger problems." I snickered.
"Only when you @#%$ up." I muttered.
I pushed past him and went into his room to rifle through the closet. I really needed to do laundry. I whipped the hangers along the pole, and came to my army pants. Sure. I yanked them on, dropping the towel to my feet, and headed to the dresser to locate my bra.
"All I'm saying," I finally spoke. "Is that I think you are blowing this thing with Mia way out of proportion." I put my bra on, the red one was the only clean one left.
I had nothing to go with it. I dug through the bottom drawer looking for my black tank top. My towel fell over my eyes, and I reached up to yank it off, taking a few hairs with it.
"I'm blowing this out of proportion?" He said with a fake laugh. "Youve got to be kidding me!" He scoffed. I dug my flame boots out of the closet, and sat on the cool wood floors to pull them on. He crossed his arms over his chest. "You're the one who keeps bringin it up!"
"Because you never listen!" I shouted in his face. I growled in frustration, and pushed past him again.
"What is there to listen to?" He trailed after me.
I stomped down the hall to Mia's room. Shed have something for me to wear. I opened her door quietly, in case she was still sleeping.
"Let?"
"You listen to me." I slammed on the brakes, and dropped my voice. "If Mia's all you got left, you better watch that you dont push her away. Because a the rate you're going, you're pushing me away too!" I hissed.
He reached out to grab my arm before I went into her room. "Letty dont say that." He whispered.
"I already did." I said, wrenching my arm away from him. "You're making me late for work." I muttered. I stepped into Mia's room, my eyes blind for a second in the dimness of the room.
"Forget work." He said trying to coax me out of the room.
"I wish I could forget it." I snarled. "But unfortunately you already have, so I get to go make up for your loss."
I shut the door quickly, upset with myself that I let him get to me. I heard him retreat back down to his room. I carefully made my way to Mia's closet looking for a red tank top. It matched enough for me. I found it next to her leather pants, and carefully pulled it from the hanger. I tugged it over my head, and pulled my wet hair out from under it. Satisfied, I turned to leave the room. Mia stirred from under the covers.
"Letty?" She whispered softly.
"Yeah, I was just borrowing " I started.
"Thanks for saying that to Dom." She said quickly cutting me off. I nodded.
"Welcome." I said. "Sorry we were so loud."
Turned out we didnt have as much work at the shop as I thought we did. I was trying to keep everything straight, but Leon always did a better job at that then I did. We were never really busy anymore. I mean, we werent losing customers, and we gained a few here and there but most people that were into racing liked to fix their own cars, we only supplied the parts, or got them through Harry for them. So things were slowing down but it wasnt like we needed the money anyway, so we usually welcomed the slow lazy garage days.
Around noon, my stomach started growling. Vince was under the hood of his own car, with Jess by his side trying to figure out what was still wrong with his car. They had been working on it for weeks now well Vince was he had finally just let Jesse take a look at it. A sure sign that he was admitting that he was wrong, a rarity for Vince.
Leon was in the back office playing some racing game on the computer, and I had just finished inventory. There was @#%$ work to do sweeping, rinsing the floors, and entering the inventory I had tallied but I was done for the day. No sense in hanging around somewhere that I didnt need to be. Hell none of us needed to be there. I poked my head in the office.
"Hey Leon, lets go get lunch." I said. He didnt look up from the screen.
"Two minutes." He said pressing keys at a dizzying pace. "I've got to laps left."
"Aight." I nodded. I went back to Jesse and Vince.
"Hey guys." I interrupted them.
"Its a hole man I'm telling you I've seen this before." Jesse insisted.
"Shut it." Vince snapped. "It is not. Its my air conditioning." Jesse snorted.
"Pfft. Yeah." He wiped his hands on a rag. "Whats up Let?" He asked.
"Lets blow this place, and go get lunch." I said. I leaned on his car.
"Whos staying here?" Vince asked.
"No one." I said, crossing my arms over my chest daring him to challenge me. "If Dom doesnt have to be here, then why the hell should we sit here for hours praying that someone will come in for an oil change?" Vince raised his eyebrows.
"True." He said slowly. I knew he was ticked at Dom for ditching us it just didnt bother him as much as it did me.
"Yeah we all left went to lunch when you guys were in Colorado anyway." Jesse spoke up. He moved around the car, and slammed the hood shut. "Lets go."
"First place baby!" Leon shouted from the office.
"Yo dawg lets go." Vince called back.
"Whos driving?" I asked.
"I will!" We all said at the same time.
Vince laughed.
"Race you there!" He shouted.
The joke was on him we all had our cars out in the lot his was in the garage.
We all ran from the shop, Leon locked the doors; Vince pulled out, and had to get back out to shut the garage door behind him. Jesse was in the lead, until I cut him off right before the lanes shifted down to one. Leon sneaked in behind me, and Jesse fell back to third. Vince brought up the rear, until the road widened a bit, and he was able to get past Jesse too. Poor Jess, he just needed a little more experience. We followed each other up the hilly roads, to the store.
I stopped in front of the shop, and the boys all lined up in the spots next to me. I cut the engine, and climbed from the car. I could already see Mia standing at the counter. And there was her white boy. Parked on a stool, looking white. The boys hadnt seen him yet.
Vince climbed from his car and immediately went to his hood. He started right in on Jesse.
"Talk to me Jesse...This aint working brother" He called, looking irritated. If the fool actually listened to what Jesse said, his car would have been fixed already.
"Its your fuel map its got a nasty hole." Jesse said honestly. "Thats why you're unloading in third." He made his way to the car.
"I told you it was third!" Leon said triumphantly.
"Shut up!" Vince snapped. I rolled my eyes. If these guys spent more time actually listening to one another than fighting, they would get a lot more done.
Jesse started rattling off ideas on how to fix things, but of course Vince wasnt paying attention. His eyes started to wander, and when they landed on the red pickup parked across the drive, I knew we were in for something good. I followed his gaze. It was Harrys delivery truck. So, it was true our little white boy must really be working with Harry.
Vince grabbed Jesse out of his car speech, and pushed his head around so he was looking at what we were all looking at.
"Huh?" He asked.
"Look." Vince said with disgust. He pointed at the truck. How the hell could you not miss something that bright? Vince gave Jesse a little push.
"Whats up with this fool?" He growled. "What is he sandwich crazy?"
"Naw V!" Leon put in. "He aint here for the food dawg."
"Chill out bro he's just slinging parts for Harry man." I said, sticking up for Mia.
"I know what he's slinging." Vince muttered.
"He's tryin to get in Mia's pants dawg!" Leon said smiling at Vince.
"Whats up guys?" She said cheerily.
"How you doing Mia?" Jesse asked, changing the topic so she wouldnt hear what we were talking about. Even though I was certain she already knew. I spotted Dom in the office, his back to us. He had to know we were there he must have still been angry about that morning
"How ya livin girl?" I asked. She seemed completely unfazed that we were all running in there obviously to snoop. She smiled up at me, and rolled her eyes towards Dom he must have been giving her a hard time.
I headed back to the office, to try and break Dom of his mood. I stood in the doorway, but he didnt even turn to acknowledge me. Leon and Jesse went straight for the snack rack. Chips were the first priority.
"Hey Dom." I called. "You want something to drink." He didnt say a word but reached out to pick up the diet coke that rested next to him. He shook it gently to show me that he was all set. I sighed and dropped my arm. So this was how it was going to be. I stood in the doorway a second longer, hoping he would say something to me anything.
Vince parked his ass at the counter, and flung the sugar bowl out of his way towards Brian.
I gave up on Dom, and headed over to the boys to see what kind of snacks I could pick from. Jesse tried on the new sunglasses at the rack, and Leon munched away.
"Aye!" Jesse said softly. "He's beautiful!"
"I like his haircut." Leon said sarcastically through a spray of chewed up potato chips.
Before we even knew what happened, Vince was chasing after Brian, as he calmly walked from the store. I saw Mia start to get nervous, and I knew something was gonna happen. It was in the air. Leon felt it too.
"Aw I love this part." He muttered. I smacked him lightly on the arm.
Vince and Brian were now lunging at each other out in the parking lot. Fists were flying, and I had to laugh a little Brian was pretty tough for a puny white guy.
"Aww @#%$." Mia gasped, when she saw them. She finally snapped. "Jesus Christ Dom! Would you get out there please? I'm sick of this @#%$." Dom didnt budge. "I'm not kidding Dom! Get out there!" She shouted at him, her voice growing shrill.
Ever so slowly Dom stood from his chair, irritated that he was being roused from his magazine. He peered out into the parking lot, and it wasnt until he saw Vince getting his ass kicked, that he actually looked interested in what was happening. He reached out and leaned on the doorframe.
"Whatd you put in that sandwich?" He asked calmly.
"Thats really funny." Mia muttered. Vince was still out getting the @#%$ knocked out of him, and Dom was choosing now to be the funny wise guy?
"Dom!" I snapped. I raised my eyebrow, and jerked my head towards his best friend.
"Aight." He said after a second.
He stalked from the office, and we all followed like his little ducklings. If there was gonna be a fight, we were there to either kick some ass or give support. We were ready for anything. Jesse giggled as he passed by Mia in sheer excitement, but I only gave her a sympathetic look, and trailed after the action. Brian was on top of Vince slugging him one in the face when I caught up with everyone.
Dom reached down and easily snatched Brian off of Vince, and shoved him backwards into Vince's car. Messing with his boys was one thing but crashing into Leons Skyline? That was another thing. Jesse started forwards, and stooped down to grab brains wallet, when it fell out of his back pocket. They stumbled towards him, and I grabbed him back. We didnt need to be a part of this one they had it under control. Leon continued eating his chips, but he nabbed Vince by the arm, to keep him back.
"Hey man he was in my face!" Brian protested.
"I'm in your face!" Dom snapped. He was nose to nose with the kid, and I had to give him some credit he only looked slightly terrified.
Vince, upset that Dom was trying to fight his battle, leapt out of Leon's grasp and lunged towards Brian and Dom.
"Relax! Dont push it!" Dom growled. "You embarrass me!"
"Get over there!" Leon snapped. Most upset with the fact that Vince had gotten past him. He yanked Vince back, and pushed him along, scattering his chips, but getting him far enough away from Brian. "What are you doing?"
"Jesse gimme the wallet." Dom ordered. Jesse obediently stepped forward, and handed it over, he gave Brian a cocky sneer before backing off. "Brian Earl Spilner?" I bit back a laugh. "Sounds like a serial killer name is that what you are?" Dom held the wallet up.
"Naw man." Brian started. Dom cut him off.
"Dont come around here again." He shoved a finger in his face, trying to threaten him without actually having to break a sweat.
Dom turned, and we all started to follow him back to the store.
"Hey man you know this is bullshit!" He called after him. Dom stopped in his tracks. He whipped back around. Vince started popping his knuckles, and was ready to start things up again.
"Stop it." I whispered at him. I poked a finger in his chest, as a warning of what I could really do to him. He knew that I knew where he was ticklish.
"You work for Harry right?" He asked pointing at the truck parked across the way.
"Yeah. I just started." He said quickly.
"Well you were just fired." Dom said, turning away from him one last time.
Brian stood there looking dumbfounded for about two minutes, before sulking dejectedly back to the truck. He sped off, leaving us riled up. I headed back in the store, and caught Mia's eye.
"Well that went well." I muttered. She snorted and rolled her eyes.
"Coulda been worse Vince could have actually fought back." I snickered. Vince got his ass kicked.
"What the @#%$ is that punks problem?" Vince growled, stumbling in after me.
"What the @#%$ is your problem?" Dom growled back. "Dont go starting @#%$ like that Vince."
I went over to him, and tried to distract him from fighting with Vince. Why the hell was everyone always fighting? I backed into him, and relaxed when he looped an arm over my shoulders. At least he wasnt ticked at me anymore. Leon went for another bag of chips, and Jesse went behind the counter for a pop.
"We already got the Trans after us, who knows who this kid runs with." Dom muttered. "You." He said pointing at Mia. "Stay away from him." Mia stuck out her lip.
"Oh come on!" She sighed.
"Just until we figure him out." He said, softer. "And you." He pointed a thick finger from my shoulder to Vince, "Cool the @#%$." Vince muttered something. "Jesse. Run a profile on this guy. S p i l n e r." He spelled out. Jesse nodded, and wrote the name down on a napkin.
"I'm on it." He said quickly. He darted from behind the counter, and ran to his car. He started the engine, and was gone in seconds. He was headed back to the garage for the computer no doubt. Give the kid a job, and he ran with it.
"Leon?" Dom called.
"Yeah dawg." He said, ducking back out from the chip rack.
"Get out here and clean that chip bag up." He snapped. "I'm not cleaning up after your ass."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah." He muttered. He headed outside, and cleaned up his chip mess.
Vince headed out to his car without a word, and sulked for a second before racing away, his tires squealing against the pavement. I sighed heavily.
"And you." Dom said quietly. I tensed waiting for the attack. "How the hell did you contain yourself?"
"Huh?" I asked.
"Usually you're right in there ready for a fight." He said looking slightly confused.
"Nah I had your back." I said, smiling.
"Well thanks." He said. I nodded.
"No problem." I said. I took a chance with the next line. "Come back to the garage with me baby. We can work on your car so its ready for tonight." I whispered.
"Maybe." He said. I felt rejected. My jaw dropped a little. "Ill meet you there." He leaned down and kissed my cheek. "I gotta go call Harry real quick. You go and send the boys home, and then we can see about checking on my car." His eyes sparkled.
I smiled, but before I could get away unscathed, Dom's bear claw reached out, and swatted me on the ass. I held up a barely menacing fist, and darted away before I was forced to smack him. I dashed past Mia who was still behind the counter. She was trying to not look upset. I had to admit, I felt bad for her.
All she wanted was a guy to have around, and here every time she found someone, the boys messed it up for her. She was right. I was damn lucky I had Dom. I couldnt ever imagine bringing someone home and running him past the guys.
"Ill see ya later girl." I said carefully before leaving the store.
"Yeah." She said quietly. "Bye Letty."
I headed out to my car, and slid my glasses on. I got in my car and turned the engine. Poor Mia, she looked so bummed. I couldnt think about it for too long though, I had to get back and clear out the garage. Besides, this guy probably wouldnt be hanging around much longer anyway. Hell, Dom scared me during that fight, and if Dom was calling Harry, I doubted that Brian would be around much longer over there.
